Video Conferencing has great potential in teaching
and learning. It can engage students and provide opportunities
for the creative use of ICT in lessons. There is now
a wide range of equipment available to schools from
systems for whole class teaching to web cameras for
one to one communications. Knowledge of how video conferencing
can be integrated into the curriculum is increasing
all the time. However a large proportion of the good
practice going on in schools is not being used to inform
others. Many schools still have difficulty in contacting
sites or individual teachers with similar interests
to conference with. There is also a bewildering amount
of equipment and information and a variety of ways
of using this to support leaching and learning. Therefore
this site aims to provide a one-stop-guide for your
